Poko is a modular display typeface whose structure is inspired by the experimental cover designed by Swiss designer André Gürtler for the third issue of Typographische Monatsblätter in 1966. The typeface deconstructs traditional letterforms, reshaping characters using only the most fundamental geometric shapes — straight lines and semicircles. Poko sits on the boundary between “abstract geometric symbols” and “readable carriers of language,” manifesting a unique geometric rhythm and visual tension through its highly rational and systematic construction.
